Diseño de una Ciclovía en la Ciudad de Loja.

Abstract:

The main objective of this project called “Design of a bike lane in the city of Loja” is to improve the urban mobility of the city through the implementation and fomentation of the use of bike lanes as part of a sustainable mobility policy. In order to do so, a deep diagnose of the whole city will be carried out, breaking down the main features until reaching sustainable mobility and bike lane requirements; in which several kinds of bike lanes will be analyzed considering international bike lanes as a reference, which may have similar morphological characteristics of the city and other urban issues in Loja; other aspects will be considered such as: morphology, weather, population, soil, education, health, tourism, mobility, and transportation, in which the last two aspects are considered of major importance for their analysis, in order to understand the current mobility aspects in the city such as conflictive areas and intersections, the lack of parking spaces, general transportation, pollution of the environment and bike lanes that are being planned by the Mayor’s office...
