Diseño de una red FTTH GPON de la empresa Telerapid S.A. para la ciudad de Quito en el barrio La Luz

Abstract:

The increased demand of telecommunications services with high efficiency levels have made the enterprises look for suppliers of these services to intensify their eagerness to get better and optimize their technological infrastructures, also they try to migrate their outgoing technologies, which let them satisfy their users requirements and at the same time it has focused on perfect the quality of the given services. In this technical degree project, we made an analyzation and design of an optical fiber distribution network using the technology FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and GPON standard for the Enterprise TELERAPID S.A., which is in Quito, neighborhood La Luz. He main objective of this project focuses on giving a solution on TELERAPID S.A. networking issues; these solutions must cover the market demand and solving the continuous requirements referred to connectivity difficulties and stability of the networks located in this neighborhood, mainly due to flaws found on the old network that works with copper cables. To develop the purposed project, we analyzed the background of the copper network, which will be removed to put a new one using FTTH and GPON standard that is attractive for its structure and optimum design of an optical network that covers all the trunk from the main station to neighborhood La Luz, its distribution and network survey must include all the needed calculations referred to the materials to use and the equipment, OLT and ODF.
