Diseño e implementación de un algoritmo para el procesamiento de señales satelitales utilizando la plataforma radio definido por software USRP


Abstract:

The present titling project had as objective the development of an algorithm which has the capacity to capture signals emitted from the NOAA satellite and to obtain useful information for different areas such as aviation, climatology, meteorology, etc. In the first chapter, we start with the planning of the research, where the theoretical framework forms the basis. It is here where the terminologies, definitions, characteristics, operation and applications are detailed. Also includes a brief description of the tools used. Subsequently, in the second phase the methodology used and their forms of application are exposed, being the methods used: inductive, exploratory and experimental. With the two theoretical bases mentioned above, the execution phase follows. Third chapter, this section develops the core of this research. It starts with the design of the software and hardware for the creation of the algorithm, and the tracking to the NOAA satellite through the interface Orbitron, in order to generate the interface alerts and to obtain the information signals satisfactorily. With the purpose of validating the algorithm, performance tests are carried out, the signal capturing process is observed and the results are analyzed. Finally, we concluded the present research with satisfactory results, the use ofelevated level materials allowed to capture de information using the NOAA satellite which was in the perimeter of coverage.
