Adaptación de 26 líneas avanzadas de fréjol voluble (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), asociado con maíz (Zea mays L.) en el campo Docente Experimental La Tola, Tumbaco, Pichincha
Abstract:
This research was conducted at the Experimental Teaching Center "La Tola" (CADET), located in the parish Tumbaco, Pichincha province, located at 2465 masl, with rainfall during the growing cycle of 497.30 mm and an average temperature of 15.91 ºC. Adaptation of 26 lines of beans, corn associated with Mishca variety and the agronomic performances of the different variables were evaluated. From the results of beans, he found: In plant height, taller line was 21 (code 120136-03) 215 cm and line 10 (code 040316-00) presented 140 cm. Three growth habits (IVa, IVb and IIIb) were presented, the 88.46% were climbing materials. The performance variables as number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod and weight of 100 seeds differed in all lines. The superior performance of the line was 19 (code 121033-01) with 327.78 g/m2 and 3.61 t / ha. Major phytosanitary problems were not presented. In corn, the percentage of lodging was influenced by the height, leaf development of beans and high winds. A greater number and weight of ears per plot, where the beans not presented a very aggressive growth habit was obtained. Grain yield was higher in those bean plants of lower growth in certain lines that showed equal heights or greater than the corn plant, constituted an obstacle to the free pollination, and therefore in the formation of the ears and grains.
