Adaptive filters in the MTI bayesian processor (Moving target indicator) of the oerlikon radar system

Abstract:

The present work shows the results obtained in the detection of simulated objectives replacing the traditional Doppler filter with adaptive filters in the radar processor. For that, the MTI processor of the Skyguard radar system of the Ecuadorian Army is simulated. In addition, the comparison of the Receiver Operational Curves (ROC) of the traditional processor with those of the adaptive MTI processor that implements the Least Mean Square (LMS) and Kalman Random Walk algorithms is performed.
