Diseño y construcción de una antena parche a 5.8 GHz con polarización circular para el Picosatélite POLITECH.


Abstract:

This paper presents the design, manufacturing and measurements of a circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna operating at 5.8 GHz. This antenna has been designed to be used to the picosatellite project, POLITECH. 1. A single coaxial probe feed was selected according to the project requirements. The antenna has been designed and built on a TC600 substrate whose electric permittivity is 6.15 and thickness is 3.175 mm. A good agreement between measurements and simulations has been achieved. The return loss bandwidth obtained is upper than 5%(S11< 20 dB). An axial ratio lower than 5 dB has been got between-60< θ< 60 in XZ and YZ planes. A beamwidth of 120 has been achieved in the two main planes.
