Adherence to antidepressant therapies in patients with depressive disorders attending an outpatient in a clinic public mental health hospital Colombia

Abstract:

Objective: to determine the level of adherence to antidepressant therapies and associated factors in patients with depressive disorders attending an outpatient clinic in a public mental health hospital, Antioquia-Colombia 2017. Methodology: a cross-sectional analytical study was conducted in patients with diagnosis of depressive disorder. The sample of patients was selected for convenience; a survey was designed including sociodemographic, clinical and therapeutic variables; the Morisky-Green instrument was used, the Spanish versions of Questionnaire of patients' beliefs about their medication (BMQ) and the Simplified questionnaire of adherence to medication (SMAQ) were also used, which are validated to be applied on depression.
