Diseño y desarrollo de un módulo prototipo inteligente de lectura de cuentos (TTS) para aplicaciones de aprendizaje para niños
Abstract:
In this thesis we present the different stages that we have conducted to design and implement a Text To Speech (TTS) system to support the children’s learning process through storytelling. In order to develop a tool to work with children, we propose a design that relies on two elements: the architecture of the FreeTTS system and the creation of a database of syllabes and words. Each syllabe and word will be recorded by a locutor. This base is designed to provide a better sound to the speech synthesis system, that would enable to get a voice with more naturally and intelligibility possible, to make more enjoyable for the kids and to get a speech synthesis system like a Spanish language that is used in Ecuador. The main contribution of this project focuses on the phonetic and linguistic analysis that will be able to build a word if it does not exist in the data base.
