Diseño, modelado y construcción de una antena fractal para recepción de televisión digital terrestre en el Ecuador


Abstract:

The appearance of Digital Television is one of the most important events, the change to this new technology is a radical fact, the passage of black and white color to color television. The purpose of this project is to design, model using existing parameters and build a fractal antenna for the reception of digital terrestrial television in Ecuador, in the VHF and UHF bands, using fractal geometry which is a new technique for design of multiband antennas. Chapter I details a review of research related to fractal and digital television antennas, with the objective of gathering relevant information about its geometry, formulas, dimensions and main characteristics of a fractal object, emphasizing the development of antennas for telecommunications. Chapter II analyzes the mathematical model of the fractal antenna for use in the reception of digital television signals, as well as the design equations for different proposals of fractal antennas, which will be used in the present project. The fractal antenna is also simulated and the software to be used is specified, addressing the steps for modeling the fractal antenna for its correct implementation. The construction of the antenna is carried out based on the proposed design with the calculated parameters. In chapter III, the results obtained in the simulation and the results of the physical measurements are analyzed and compared with the respective equipment to make a comparison. Chapter V presents the conclusions and recommendations that were obtained after completing the project.
