Disrupción endocrina de la diferenciación sexual
Abstract:
This paper describes the main steps in the determination and sex differentiation in vertebrates, as well as the effect of epigenetic factors like temperature on gonad sexual differentiation. Also the alterations induced by substances denominated xenobiotics, and the way that some of them alters the physiology in human and wild life species, acting as endocrine disrupters. Xenobiotics act as endocrine disrupters mimicking the action of steroid hormones by sterochemical similarity. A simple conclusion is that some subproducts of human utility affect the sex gonadal differentiation in wild vertebrates and have negative repercussions on free life populations.
