Distributed data acquisition system for parameter measurements in photovoltaic installations installed at the Catholic University of Cuenca–Ecuador
Abstract:
Photovoltaic energy has had a growing unfolding in the world, by the awareness of generating clean energy and by the efficient generation of it. For this reason, to meet the standards of reliability, processing, and real-time visualization of the values generated in photovoltaic systems it is recommended to have a system of acquisition of electrical variables related to photovoltaic generation. The article present is based on the proposal of a system of acquisition of parameters in photovoltaic installations, formed by a microprocessor connected with sensors of voltage, intensity, temperature, and solar radiation, and which are integrated into a MATLAB server and this data are processed in real-time with an OPAL-RT simulator, in this way we will have clear information on the behavior of the photovoltaic power generation of our solar systems, with the measures obtained from the procurement system executes the respective processing on the PVSYST platform. The result obtained from parameter measurement was successful, with a measurement difference of 0.44% with the material values of the panel, as well as with a contrast of-2.4% loss of relative efficiency with the parameters of ideal conditions of the panel.
