Distribution Networks with Distributed Generation and Electric Vehicles

Abstract:

With the continuous advancement of technology, energy systems have been gaining a greater field in the generation and distribution of renewable energies oriented to electric vehicles (EV). The effect of both solar and wind power plants on EVs has a different behavior throughout the day, therefore, in the charging stations of these EVs, an optimal size and efficiency should be sought, with the best possible performance. As a solution to circumstances where energy distribution needs to be improved, it has been considered that the integrated modeling of renewable energy sources is the best alternative to be used because it tries to mitigate negative effects on the sources of resource distribution towards EVs and generally, these solutions are rarely applied in a real test space. Identifying a conventional scenario within society will be the way to simulate a study as realistic as possible to be able to demonstrate the operation of these points of the distribution network, thus being able to identify the strengths and weaknesses that a renewable energy system is connected to the distribution network may have.
