DrainCAD: a software package for agricultural drainage system design

Abstract:

The DrainCAD software package is a product of many year's effort. The program is run on a PC. It is used for laying out and designing both surface and subsurface drainage systems of agricultural fields. It can handle fields of any irregular shape and size. Beside the numerical output of the program, Drain CAD provides a graphical output which includes the layout map of the field, longitudinal profiles of the collector and lateral pipes, longitudinal and cross sectional profiles of the ditches. A material list of pipes and earth movement requirements for ditches are given at the end of the design. -from Authors
