"Manejo del dolor postquirúrgico en los pacientes del servicio de cirugía y gineco-obstetricia del Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo de la ciudad de Azogues, durante el año 2011"

Abstract:

Controlling the post-operatory pain has an influence on the functional recovery, preventing any complication. Analgesic schemes do not exist in Ecuador, Using then medical preferences, resources and institutional organizations. Having guides garantees an appropiate relief of the pain, reduces dissatisfaction and bad therapeutic and welfare memories. Objective: To determine the pharmacological manage of the post-operatory pain, analgesic and time response in the Homero Castanier Hospital, 2011. Materials and Methods: Descriptive Study, it shows 350 patients after a surgery, excluding children under 10 years old, seniors over 75 years old, mentally ill patients, unconscious patients and non-participants. Results: The average age is 36.08 years old, feminine gender prevails, the most frequent interventions are, general and gynecological surgery; 69.9 % of them are electives. 2.5 g Dipyrone is the most common used in the operatory periods. According to EVA, the average of acceptable pain is (scale 0 to 3) it’s 78.06 %, moderate pain (scale 4 to 7) it’s 26.6% and intense pain (scale 8 to 10) it’s 1,2% on the three post-operatory moments. Conclusions: The post-operatory analgesia in the Homero Castanier Hospital, it manages itself frequently with AINES (Dipyrone 2,5 gr), narcotics on the second place, with a high percentage of acceptable pain.
