Dynamic generation of home automation control interfaces

Abstract:

Dynamic Generation of Home Automation Control Interfaces is a new challenge in the Home Automation field. These systems already exist in the market, but the controlling devices are not adaptable to the users' needs and preferences. This paper combines present web technologies (XML and CSS) and standard languages for abstract interface definition (URC) with a Java platform, resulting in a Home Automation Control interface dynamically adaptable to users' needs and devices' characteristics and accessible by following the Design for All recommendation. © ICT&S Center, University of Salzburg.
