Dynamical symmetry breaking in the SU(N) matrix model with fermions

Abstract:

The SU(N) quantum-mechanical matrix system with massless fermions possesses parity and U(1) chiral invariances. It is shown that in the large-N limit the chiral symmetry is spontaneously broken and the massless Nambu-Goldstone boson appears in the spectrum of the theory. © 1982.
