Abstract:

Every individual, family or non-family group needs a home that meets the average set of living conditions. stability and endowment prevailing in the society in which he lives. Most Latin American families aspire to own their homes, and most governments encourage that aspiration, either by offering subsidies or by illicitly promoting informal types of land tenure. Owning your home brings many benefits to families, most importantly a sense of security. Governments must formulate policies for the housing sector just as they do for the health, education and employment sectors, housing impacts the social and economic sectors, contributing to both production and consumption. Investment in housing generates economic growth and jobs. This research work addresses the problem of the housing deficit in the city of Guayaquil and its relationship with the quality of life of the population. The topic will address factors that affect the housing problem, factors such as: internal migration field-city, a poorly controlled birth rate and instability and inconsistency in urban employment.
