E-learning as a tool for continuing education: A proposal for professional training in Ecuador
Abstract:
This article shows a general exposition about the use and knowledge of the e-learning methodology within the field of continuing education in Ecuador, with the purpose of knowing how the processes of continuous training are carried out in companies in Ecuador. The research design was exploratory with a qualitative approach, bibliography was revised according to the topic and the interviews and observations were used as instruments for gathering information. The application of these instruments was made to companies that offer training services and to employees who currently participate in training programs. In the final part the results are presented evidencing that the traditional form, the participants inside the classroom, is the one that stands out against virtual training, highlighting that the role that technology currently has in education, is a challenge for adults They are still afraid to get out of the traditional method.
