E-tourism: an alternative to innovate in natural areas, case study cotopaxi np


Abstract:

The present research work aims to know through a field study the perceptions that tourists, residents and those in charge of the care of the Cotopaxi National Park have on the development of tourist activities such as cycling and trekking in said place, as well as the impact that consider that this activity generates in the sector. Cycling and trekking are activities framed in an adventure tourism in which there is direct contact with nature, these have been developed in the park for some time, however in recent years the presence of people who practice has increased. The sport, in the current year with the health emergency that is going through the whole world because of Covid 19, new security measures have been taken so people have chosen to look for alternatives of outdoor recreation in which it is avoided agglomerations and compliance with the rules of social distancing.
