ECONOMIC CO-RESPONSIBILITY OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Abstract:

This research used inductive-deductive and analytical-synthetic methods. Descriptive and field research were applied. The modality applied was qualitative-quantitative or mixed; the research techniques were interviews, surveys and statistical data. From the review of the Ecuadorian legal framework, it was determined that the figure of shared custody does not exist; there-fore, a study was conducted with the objective of analyzing the legal figure of shared custody and economic co-responsibility of children and adolescents in Ecuadorian legislation. The main result was that it is necessary for the Ecuadorian legislator to reform the Code of Childhood and Adolescence in order to regulate shared tenancy to guarantee, among other rights, survival, education and a dignified life.
