Abstract:

The Access to financial services is a topic that has become of great importance during the last years in Latin America, governments as well as private financial institutions have been proposing and developing initiatives which are looking forward to boosting the Access of population to such services. The fast evolution of information and communication technologies have produced huge changes in social, economic and political areas, for they are practically involved in each stage of our daily life; thus, it is necessary to be acquainted of the different innovations offered by the Ecuadorian financial system. The current research paper´s main purpose is to let people know the about the new mean of electronic payment established by the Central Government and the incidence it has had until the present days in Associations of Savings and Cbkp_redits which are placed in segment one according to the Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE) in the city of Ambato – Tungurahua Province
