EMOTIONAL STATES IN PERUVIAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC, IN THE YEAR 2022


Abstract:

The general objective of this study was to determine the characteristics presented by the emotional states of students from Peruvian universities in times of pandemic, in the year 2022. The applied methodology was quantitative, applying the hypothetical-deductive method. A questionnaire was carried out where 10 questions were formulated to assess the fear dimension, 11 for the depression dimension and 9 for the anxiety dimension. This questionnaire on emotional states was adapted by a team of researchers, and was conducted through Google forms given the situation we have been facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was applied to 503 students from 17 public and private universities nationwide through virtual social networks. Statistical processing was done using the statistical package SPSS V-28. The results obtained in the investigation allow us to show that 60% of the students present mild emotional states, 35% of the students present moderate emotional states and there are 5% of students who present altered emotional states.
