EVALUATION OF THE MONITORING METHODS APPLIED BY THE PASTAZA SAVINGS AND CREDIT COOPERATIVES

Abstract:

Cbkp_redit unions are socioeconomic organizations capable of satisfying the economic needs of their members and having an impact on the interests of the community and society through efficient and effective administrative processes, respecting the principles and values of the international cooperative movement. The study was conducted to evaluate the control methods used by Savings and Loan Cooperatives with respect to accounting management and financial security; in the mixed approach, qualitative factors are combined to describe the current state of the industry and quantitative factors are used to evaluate the results. The information was collected through questionnaires sent to the management and accounting boards of seven active cooperatives; as a result, these cooperatives do not have financial instru-ments, do not know the benefits of a supervisory system, do not evaluate the financial structure and do not supervise. The different methods of accounting control and management proposed will empower the industry to make timely decisions.
