Econometric model of hospital efficiency indices in care units level II in Ecuador

Abstract:

The present analysis allows to measure the relative performance of the units of II level of attention, when establishing parameters of comparison of these and thus obtain a correct administration. Specifically, the analysis was based on a study of the efficiency indices of these units, according to the resources they have. To obtain it, an econometric model was made using the ordinary least squares regression analysis, in order to have a common measure for its output - input units according to the volume of service, human resources and inputs of this type of hospital units.
