Ecuadorian television presence on YouTube
Abstract:
The robust telecommunications infrastructure developed in Ecuador since 2011 allows greater access to the Internet. In this stage the television stations show interest in exploring digital media and new business models. An example of this is the transit of the television signal open to YouTube. The objectives of this research are to determine the emission trends and consumption on YouTube of the television of Ecuador, and develop a relationship of economic gains. The methodology used is qualitative, based on the analysis of content of the annual reports of the OBITEL, the statistics of the Superintendencia de Compañías de Ecuador and the metrics of the SocialB lade digital tool. It is concluded that the hearing and the economic benefits of the television of Ecuador decrease but gains space on YouTube, as well as on the Internet is dominated by consumption in the accounts of the signal stations open in front of the media originating in the network.
