Edaphic homogeneity in two sample areas of the Motatán river watershed, Trujillo State-Venezuela

Abstract:

A field research was carried out with the purpose of applying a methodology of multivaried analysis to determine the edafogeomorphological homogeneity of two areas of 1,5 hectares each one located in Piedra Azul (300 msnm) and La Ciénega (2.400 msnm), of the Motatán river watershed, in Trujillo state. Twelve observations were taken with a borer on each sector, describing some of the field characteristics and at the same time collecting samples for the respective laboratory analysis. The obtained results allowed to demonstrate the efficiency of a methodology of multivaried analysis for main components to determine the degrees of edaphic and edafogeomorphological uniformity that exists inside a plot, considering from some characteristics that define this system.
