Educación de niñas y jóvenes de Guayaquil durante el período: 1830-1841: modalidad Artículo Académico
Abstract:
The article presents a historical review about the education of girls and young people in the city of Guayaquil in the first decades of the birth of Ecuador as a State. The historical route has as its starting point, the contributions and advances of Greater Colombia around the education of girls, to emphasize the educational evolution of the first Years of life as a free nation. Through a documentary review some works were explored, among which some authors stand out as: Goetschel, 2007; Pico, 2017; Nunez, 2000; Rodríguez, 2010; Lamb, 2004; Zúñiga, 1947, and the information was triangulated with contributions through an interview with Dr. Annabelle Nebel de Aspiazu, commissioner of the chronicle and archive of the Society of Charities of Ladies of Guayaquil and the lawyer by profession and amateur member of the Society of historians of Guayaquil, Jorge Aycard. The role of women in the era was analyzed, depending on their social and economic condition. Another aspect to note, is the educational ideal that Vicente Rocafuerte reached, who emerges as the main reference during the investigation in the advancement of the formation of girls and young women, this last point is vital for the understanding of this educational process developed during the First half of the 19th century.
