Educational management: Key factor in the implementation of the physical education curriculum

Abstract:

The curriculum proposal for physical education changes the educational paradigm in Ecuador, this curriculum renewal generates an open and flexible epistemic, didactic and methodological posture, allowing the construction of activities with cognitive, social and affective contributions; where the teacher is induced to a process of disapprehension to learn and innovate. The study aimed to estimate the factors of the Human Determinant in the implementation of ecuador’s National Physical Education Curriculum. The research was carried out following a descriptive quantitative approach, which addressed a sample of 612 teachers sampling product by cluster and simple randomization in nine zonal education coordinations. The results showed that educational management is the key factor with the greatest impact on the implementation of the curriculum, whose emerging factors are infrastructure, authorities, pedagogical accompaniment, resources and materials; improvements in these elements will enable education objectives in this area of knowledge to be achieved and contribute to the human training of students.
