Educational plan of integral care for family members of people with intellectual disabilities of the centro “luz y vida” san gabriel

Abstract:

This research involves the participation of the families of people with intellectual disabilities who attended the Center “Luz y Vida” San Ga-briel, the objective of this research was to design an educational plan of comprehensive care, focused on reinforcing knowledge in family members of people with disabilities, same as in accordance with what is established in the Educational Plan: Promotion of comprehensive care for people with intellectual disabilities aimed at family members; It is essential to consider the family environment, needs, care and dimensions for the development of capacities. This work was developed in a quali-quantitative modality, of cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational, field and bibliographic research, managing to contextualize the problem, the population taken into account was 30 relatives of people with intellectual disabilities in which it was applied The survey as a data collection technique, the analysis and the main results that 80% of the family members are unaware of about adequate comprehensive care leading to the following question where 83.33% state the importance of having an educational plan for comprehensive care, these Data will allow the establishment of a viable educational plan aimed at the families of people with intellectual disabilities.
