Educational reform and its impact on the organizational and labor climate in Ecuador Basic Education

Abstract:

This research measures the impact generated by the Organic Law of Intercultural Education and its Regulations on the organizational and labor climate in Ecuador mid-level school units. The research is both, applied and empirical; therefore, a factorial analysis is being used, identifying factors related to work climate, having - as well - a linear regression to explain the effects of under-study variables. Research results show that teachers' labor satisfaction is shaped by organizational and labor climate conditions. Educational policies reform and enforcement - also - impact on teachers' organizational climate. Having an appropriate organizational climate results from the combination of different factors, such as, motivation, communication, labor conditions, leadership, social climate, remuneration, individual and participatory management. Thus, Law enforcement did not have a positive impact in teachers' labor climate, hindering labor satisfaction.
