Educommunication as a link to a culture of peace

Abstract:

Culture of peace as defined by the United Nations means a series of values, attitudes and behaviors that reject violence as a normal form of relationship and highlight the importance of alternative conflict resolution by attacking its roots and causes in group and nations interaction. One of the most important areas of work to promote this Culture is education and the different ways of transmitting this information to the population, as well as practice promotion of them. This means thinking about values, practice processes in terms of justice, democracy, solidarity, tolerance, gender equality, among others. The proposal for good teaching practice is part of the Sustainable Development Goal 5 promoted by UN. Educommunication makes it possible to inform and educate population.
