Efecto de fitorreguladores y movilizadores de azúcares sobre la maduración homogénea de frutos de café (Coffea arabica L)

Abstract:

The harvest constitutes the highest item in coffee production costs, which motivated a study in orthogonal design L9 (3)4, according to the Taguchi methods, with the objective of testing phytoregulators and sugar mobilizers on the ripening of the arabic coffe fruits. This trial was carried out at the Guabal and San Plácido sites. The phytoregulators tested were: Ethefon, Mepiquat Chloride and their mixture; the sugar mobilizers Sugar mover, Yield max and their mixture, as well as the time of application based on the proportion of green fruits (100, 90, 85%) and the points of application: foliage, fruits or both. The results allowed to determine that, in El Guabal, in the control, the weight of 100 fruits varied from 100 to 131 g and with the application of phytoregulators, it varied from 92 to 153 g. The production g / plant-1, when phytoregulators were applied was 444 g and 669 g of the control. floor-1. In San Plácido a similar behavior was evidenced in the weight of 100 fruits varying from 117 to 200 g, in the control, while applying the treatments it varied between 102 and 220 g. The application of Ethefon and Yield max, when the fruits are still 100% green, applied to the coffee tree foliage had a significant effect on plant-1 production and on the weight of 100 ripe fruits.
