Efecto de tres distancias de siembra en el rendimiento de dos variedades de pimiento (Capsicum annum L.)

Abstract:

This experiment was conducted during the dry season of 2015 in the area of Atascoso belonging to Canto El Triunfo, Guayas Province. The objectives were: 1) To determine the effect of three planting distances in the performance of two varieties of pepper; 2) Select the best combination of treatments evaluated; 3) Conduct an economic analysis of the treatments under study. The factors studied were varieties and planting distances, used a block design random (DBCA), agronomic variables were measured for comparison of treatment means the multiple range test of Duncan was used 5% probability. The conclusions that were taken of this research were: 1) had a pepper varieties agronomic performance almost equal to the variables: plant height, stem diameter, number of fruits per plant, fruit diameter; 2) The variables significantly influenced responders and planting distance were: days to flowering, fruit length and yield; 3) California Wonder variety with the combination of 0.40mx 0.70 m distance was the best combination to obtain a yield of 16669 kg / ha, being superior to all others. Number of fruits per plant in three crops, according to observations in the first harvest significant differences in varieties where excelled California Wonder with 3.32 units and lower production Cubanelle with 3.15 units in the second crop were determined the highest average California Wonder was 4.31 units with lower production and Cubanelle with 4.13 units in the third harvest was determined again that the variety California Wonder was the one with the highest production with 5.33 units and lower production Cubanelle with 5.15 units. Performance, shows that comparatively variety California Wonder variety produces only Cubanelle. In planting distances on the practice of planting out 70 cm x 40 cm, presented better performance. When performing the corresponding economic analysis is that treatments 70 cm x 40 cm, in the two varieties gives the highest return.
