Efecto del Riego Deficitario controlado en la producción del cultivo de pimiento (Capsicum annuum), en el cantón Babahoyo

Abstract:

The present investigation work, on the effect of the deficit watering controlled in the production of the pepper cultivation (Capsicum annuum), in the canton Babahoyo was carried out in the lands of the Experimental Farm "San Pablo", of the Ability of Agricultural Sciences, of the Technical University of Babahoyo, located to 7,5 km of the road Babahoyo - Montalvo; with coordinated geographical of 79o 32´ of longitude west and 01o49´de south latitude and an altitude of 8 m.s.n.m. Seed of the pepper variety long Irazu was used whose treatments were constituted by the application of four sheets of water of 100, 80, 70 and 60%, with different volumes of the evapotranspiración of the cultivation. The design experimental Complete Blocks was used at random, with four treatments and three repetitions, making the test from Tukey to 5 significancia%. They were carried out all the works and practical agricultural that requires the cultivation for their normal development, as analysis of the floor; analysis of water, elaboration of nurseries, preparation of the land, transplant, handling of overgrowths, handling of plagues and illnesses, watering, fertilization, harvests. To estimate the effects of the treatments the following data they were evaluated: plant height, long of the shaft and number of fruits to the 60, 90 and 120 days after the transplant, size, weight of the fruit, yield and economic analysis.
