Abstract:

This dissertation aims to analyze the effects of the manufacturing sector and its impact on national economic growth and productive countries of the Comunidad Andina de Naciones (CAN), thanks to the theoretical contributions of Kaldor (1966.1967) growth economic and empirical evidence presented is confirmed that the countries of the Andean manufacturing could imply higher than that obtained by other sectors of the economic growth. The theoretical basis is based on the methodology of a data model simple and dynamic panel, which concluded that increased levels of specialization in manufacturing activities, could generate positive externalities and comparative advantages in countries with a higher degree of industrialization leaving disadvantaged countries where primary activities predominate.
