Agenda-setting and immigration: Critical analysis of discourse and frequency in the media. Descriptive analysis of research in scientific journals from 2015 to 2020

Abstract:

This article studies the agenda-setting and immigration, from two perspectives: the frequency with which this topic has been included in the media, public and political agendas. And, through critical analysis of discourse. These two evaluations mark the objective of this research, which presents a systematic review of the literature in academic journals, during the years 2015-2020. Revealing relevant aspects of immigration when shaping agendas, their interrelation, the repercussion they have and the effects on the perception of Spanish public opinion.
