AgileRoadmap: An Approach to Implement Agile Practices in Teams

Abstract:

The community working with agile methods does not have an agreed body of knowledge. Although this has allowed the agile methods to be disseminated quickly, without the centralized regulation of an institution, on the negative side, the assessment of the application state of agile methods is generally too subjective. Through real implementations of agile methods in several companies we have been refining an approach to implement agile practices. Our proposal, called AgileRoadmap, includes a catalog of agile practices, a model and a strategy for the implementation of agile practices. Our catalog integrates the agile practices of the most popular agile methods. We promote the application of agile practices, not the application of a specific method. AgileRoadmap includes a catalog of agile practices and criteria that help in the selection and implementation of agile practices taking into account the work context. This article introduces AgileRoadmap.
