Effect of an alternative therapeutic treatment in patients with myastenia gravis

Abstract:

The therapeutic treatment is the more important element to increase performance in the activities of daily-life of the patients with myasthenia gravis, those elements which characterize patients with this affection. To this end the effect of an alternative therapeutic treatment in patients with myasthenia gravis was assessed. 30 patients participated in the practical evaluation of the alternative treatment, which were divided in one control group and one experimental group. The statistical tests chi-square and t-Student was applied to carry out the study, as well as the coefficient d of Cohen. As conclusion of the investigation we obtained that the result to apply this treatment is the improvement of the quality of health-related life, without generating risks neither complication during the therapeutic intervention. That was reflected in the existence of a significant difference and a very high effect in the experimental group.
