Effect of fertilization in performance of Azolla filiculoides, feed for aquaculture
Abstract:
La Azolla filiculoides is an alternative for the development of sustainable systems, which stands out for its high protein value. The present investigation was developed in the UBPC of Guamo Viejo, Río Cauto, Granma. The experimental phase was from February to July, with the objective of evaluating the production of this macrophyte with the use of organic and inorganic fertilizers, in two different periods of rain. We used a completely randomized design with a factorial arrangement, with three replicates. The organic application was performed at doses of 280 and 560 g (dry basis)/m2 porcine excreta and the mineral at the rate of 20g/m2 combination: 18 ammonium nitrate and two triple superphosphate. For this, 12 ponds were constructed manually and directly in the soil, the density of planting was of every seven days, respectively. The response variables were dry and fresh biomass. The best response of fresh weight (518.32) and final dry (39.6) corresponds to the treatment with 560 g of organic dose, with yields of 5.76 g/m2 /day, representing 20.75 t / ha / year in rainy season.
