Effect of leuprolide acetate depot on the growth of N-nitroso-methylurea-induced rat mammary tumors

Abstract:

The effect of leuprolide acetate depot (two doses of 100 μg i.m., separated by two weeks) on the growth of N-nitrosomethylurea (NMU)-induced rat mammary tumors was studied. Untreated rats showed a progressive increase in the mean tumor area and total tumor area/rat, while in the leuprolide-treated rats these values were significantly lower.
