Agricultural administration: Cost measurement in three production associations
Abstract:
Family or small-scale agriculture brings with it continuous difficulties in profitability and competitiveness due to many factors that converge simultaneously; Among them are the high production costs, which, being part of the agricultural administration, gives the producer the possibility of efficiently controlling the costs they incur, but in practice, administrative empiricism, non-observance or ignorance of various elements that they integrate agricultural costs, added to non-controllable factors, making agricultural activity less efficient and profitable. The present investigation diagnoses and evaluates the current situation of three peasant associations, verifying the level of incidence that the hidden administrative costs have in determining the real cost. For this purpose, a descriptive study based on a field design was considered carried out, where the inductive and comparative methods have been very useful for obtaining the results, which reflect the practices of poor agricultural administration.
