Agricultural technical secondary school teachers: mechanisms for the appropriation of scientific knowledge.
Abstract:
In the present investigation, updated theoretical elements are presented on the processes of transfer of science, technology and innovation used by professors of agricultural technical colleges in the Latin American context. Currently, most scientific articles are devoted to the task of explaining the phenomenon of technology transfer from a business perspective, and there is a deficit of information on this process in other areas of socioeconomic development in the countries of the region. The objective of this work is to determine the relationship between scientific knowledge, mechanisms for technology transfer and knowledge appropriation by agricultural technical secondary education teachers, based on a document analysis and review of scientific articles from the Gale Cengage Learning, Academic One File, and Ebscot databases. Among the most relevant results, we find that the transfer mechanisms most frequently used by teachers are scientific publications in digital format, but not on indexed databases. Academic spin-offs, licenses and patents also stand out, and the importance of new communication technologies is evident.
