Effects of digital transformation in scientific collaboration. A bibliographic review
Abstract:
In this paper, we present a bibliographic review that contains the most important aspects of the digital transformation in scientific collaboration. We reviewed 162 scientific papers where authors have identified and analysed the digital changes in scientific research and the impact they have generated in the scientific community. The main research question for this bibliographic review is the following: What are the key dimensions of digital transformation in scientific collaboration? The objective is to explain the changes in design practices in the science assessment criteria and ways of sharing knowledge through new techniques and software arising from stabilization of new tools. We will observe the most important aspects of the digital transformation in science, with the main contributions from the most representative authors in this area. We show how open access and open science can solve the digital divide in science to create new modes of scientific communication.
