Abstract:
The present innovation project aimed at stimulating the creativity of children from 4 to 5 years old through the implementation of the Atelier of the "Wawa" from the Reggio Emilia approach, as an innovative and stimulating learning environment that adapts to the needs and interests of infants and seeks to make them the protagonists of their own learning. This space was implemented at the Initial Education level of the "Luis Cordero" High School in the city of Azogues-Cañar. The paradigm used is the social-critical one because it seeks a change and transformation in the educational community, from processes of reflection-action between theory and practice, also, it uses qualitative methodology and documentation as the main technique of interpretation and understanding of the reality studied. The method that guided the work was, participatory action research (IAP) and case study. It is important to highlight that the process of investigation allowed to find as main results the satisfactory stimulation of creativity in the infants, from the learning environment Atelier of the "Wawa", where the creative processes arose spontaneously and allowed to generate significant learning, links and connections between the physical (material) and the relations that the infants established when exploring, curious, creating, doing and learning from their own needs and capacities. It should be emphasized that creativity showed capacities of fluidity, flexibility, originality, elaboration and freedom within the activities that conformed the project; recognizing in this way the learning environment as the third teacher in Initial Education.
