El Feminicidio en la provincia de EL Oro desde la entrada en vigor del Código Orgánico Integral Penal hasta el mes de septiembre del 2016. Un análisis empírico

Abstract:

Gender violence, especially against women, has existed in each of the historical stages. Nevertheless, in the last decades, humanity has become aware, due to the need to protect the female sex, in the face of an increase in acts that threaten the life and physical integrity of this sector. For this reason, femicidio constitutes, although not the definitive solution, a response that from the criminal law, punishes those people who, by the hatred of the female sex, and as a consequence of the belief of being above in the relations of power, Carry out acts of extreme violence against persons of this sex. Ecuador is no exception. Therefore, since the promulgation of the Comprehensive Criminal Organic Code, this criminal figure was included. Although recent in the Ecuadorian criminal sphere, the courts of the province of El Oro have determined the commission of this crime, as consummate or attempted, in accordance with the evidentiary material presented by the parties, establishing the testimonial evidence, as the most important for to effectively determine the crime of femicide, although in conjunction with the others.
