Aislamiento y adaptación de microorganismos acidófilos nativos del yacimiento minero San Vicente ubicado en la provincia de Zamora Chinchipe para su aplicación en la biooxidación

Abstract:

An alternative pretreatment for gold recovery is the biooxidation. Why the objective of this research was to isolate native acidofile natural acid drainage and try to adapt a refractory ore characteristics. During isolation and adaptation of microorganisms bioassays were conducted at different pH (3.4 and 1.8) and temperature (20 and 30 ° C).The consortium was isolated previously used in the bio-oxidation process, it is carried out on a batch system; remained constant: speed of agitation (400rpm), rotor height (3.5 cm), temperature (20 ° C), air flow (3vvm), pH (1.8) ore size (-200 mesh), while evaluated the effect of pulp density (5, 10, 15 and 20% w/v). In isolation and biooxidation process to determine the concentration of Fe2+; Total Fe, sulfates and bacterial counts. The results showed that the insulation optimal growth conditions were pH 1.8 and 20 ° C, with a maximum increase of 3.5(10)7 #bac/mL. Furthermore, in the system for batch volumetric productivities of Qp Fe3+ of 2.20, 1.65, 0.80, 0.78 g/L day, Qp SO4 2- 3.17, 2.27, 2.10, 1.73 g/L day and a gold recovery of 51 it was obtained , 40, 33, 43% pulp densities of 5, 10, 15 and 20% (w/v), respectively.
