El aprendizaje de la lectura en educación inicial
Abstract:
The research about the story as a methodological strategy for language development was carried out with the purpose of determining if the story favors the development of language in the children of the initial education levels. For this, a methodology was used based on the qualitative and quantitative approach, accompanied by bibliographical-documentary and field research to reach an exploratory level of research. The beneficiaries of the research project are the children, teachers, parents and authorities of the Children's Center "Semillitas César Naranjo" in Pujilí, in the province of Cotopaxi. Through the use of techniques such as the questionnaire survey with closed questions applied to the parents, the interview applied to the teacher of the initial level of education and an observation sheet based on achievement indicators applied to the children with the objective To determine the level of language development and the advantages of using children's stories in pre-school education. From the literature review it has been possible to determine that the development of language comprehension and expression skills contemplated in the initial education curriculum are indispensable for the cognitive development of the child as well as for their interrelation with the environment.
