Abstract:

The present titling work was carried out in the "The Deseo Association" of UNOCACE, which is located in the miracle canton with the objective of calculating the profit lost in cocoa arriba caused by the witch's broom disease (Crinipellis perniciosa), year 2021. For its development, the use of the mixed method of research has been made, the same one that integrates a quantitative and qualitative type of examination, said research is of a documentary and descriptive type, since the data collection has been carried out from primary source by UNOCACE management and relevant social pages. The population under study in this work is made up of 20 associations and has a total of 1900 producers, so it was not necessary to carry out a sample. Among the results obtained, it can be mentioned that said investigation is fulfilled. According to the data collected in the surveys, it has been possible to calculate that the association the Deseo of the UNOCACE reduced its benefit due to the attack of the witch's broom on the crops of cocoa for a sum of USD 44,995.20, on average, each producer decreased his profit by USD 508.00 with a standard deviation of USD 372, with respect to the mean
