Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test--Ecuadorian Version
Abstract:
The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test--Ecuadorian Version (AUDIT; López et al., 2019) was adapted from the Spanish version of the AUDIT (Self-report version; Babor, Higgins-Biddle, & Monteiro, 2001) to measure harmful alcohol consumption in the Ecuadorian population. There are 10 items across three factors: alcohol consumption (items 1–3), drinking behavior (items 4–6), and alcohol-related problems (items 7–10). The Spanish items were linguistically adapted into Ecuadorian for a culturally acceptable version. Psychometric evaluation of the data was conducted using a sample of college students from universities in Ecuador. Internal consistency and confirmatory factor analysis were reported.(PsycTests Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved)
