Algorithm GR-B for the compression of vehicular trajectories

Abstract:

The study of GPS trajectory compression techniques today is an active area of research due to the growing development and use of geographic location technologies. This work proposes a compression algorithm through noise reduction, trajectory simplification, use of semantic information and traditional compression application. The results of the experiments on three data sets show an increase in the compression ratio, with respect to the algorithms reviewed in the literature.
